Dishwasher Magic® cleans the food oils, minerals, and soap build-up away from the filter screen, pump and jets. This build-up starves the pump of the water supply needed to effectively clean the dishes.
The bottle claims it disinfects, what does Dishwasher Magic® disinfect against?
Dishwasher Magic® is an effective disinfectant against Salmonella (gram-negative bacteria).
Does Dishwasher Magic® dissolve limescale?
Limescale is insoluble in water and is resistant to the normal alkaline detergents used in dishwashing machines. The solution in Dishwasher Magic® increases the solubility of limescale and dissolves the soap scum and any food oils or greases left over from normal operation. These are then flushed away by the normal rinsing actions of the dishwasher.

PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING. USE WITH AN EMPTY DISHWASHER. DO NOT USE WITH DISHWASHING DETERGENT.
1. Remove cap. DO NOT REMOVE WAX PLUG.
2. Place bottle upside down inside the basket or in a secure position in the bottom rack.
3. Close dishwasher, run machine on hottest cycle. (i.e. pots & pans, sani, etc.)
Note - Water must be as hot as possible to melt wax plug. For best results first run tap nearest dishwasher until hot. Note - For heavy build-up, a second application of Dishwasher Magic® may be required
How often should I use Dishwasher Magic®?
Dishwasher Magic® is recommended once per month to control of build-up.
Why do I need to use Dishwasher Magic® every month?
When you run your dishwasher the heating element inside keeps the water at an average temperature of 125+ degrees Farenheit depending on make and model. The food oils (grease) and particles that are being removed from the dishes combine with the hot water and detergent. Soap, grease and limescale begin climbing to the filter screen, starving the pump and spray arms of the velocity and quantity of water necessary to adequately clean your dishes.
As build-up increases, the cleaning performance of the dishwasher is impaired because water is no longer effectively circulated to the cleaning jets. Of course, the amount of build-up will depend on how often you use your dishwasher, how dirty your dishes are, and how hard your water is. To ensure optimal performance, we recommend monthly use of Dishwasher Magic®.
Is Dishwasher Magic® easy to use?
This revolutionary product is very easy to use. It can be summed-up in one phrase: Drop it in, turn it on, it's all gone.

Dishwasher Magic® is designed to fit all standard size silverware baskets. However, if your basket does not accommodate the bottle, you can still use this product. The bottle must be placed upside-down on your lower dish rack. Use a rubber band wound around the bottle and the prongs on your dish rack to hold it in place during the cycle.

The wax plug will not melt, now what?
The water in the dishwasher needs to reach at least 125 degrees Fahrenheit to melt the wax plug. If the wax is not melting, the water in the dishwasher is not getting hot enough. Try running the faucet closest to the dishwasher (most likely the kitchen sink) until the water runs hot, then begin dishwasher so the unit is filling with hot water from the start. If the problem continues, check your water heater to be sure it is set at the proper temperature (this temperature is recommended to effectively clean your dishes).
When I ran my dishwasher the solution never came out of the bottle. Did I do something wrong?
It can be any of the following reasons:
1. Did you remove the cap? 2. All dishwasher manufacturers' state in the owner's manual that the dishwasher must be connected to a hot water supply. Run the hot water in the sink closest to the dishwasher until the water runs hot. Check the water temperature coming out of the faucet. The water should be at least 125 degrees Farenheit. Have a qualified person raise the water temperature on your water heater until the water coming out of the faucet reaches 125 degrees Farenheit. 3. The heating element in your dishwasher is not coming on due to a timer problem, bad sensor or bad heating element. Before using Dishwasher Magic® again you should call your local appliance service center.
Is Dishwasher Magic® Kosher?
While Dishwasher Magic® does not have kosher supervision; there is nothing in the product that will render it not Kosher.
Doesn't the dishwasher clean itself?
No! Every time you run your dishwasher hard water, detergents and food oils build-up on the heating element, pump, hoses and filters, and interior surfaces of the appliance. Manufacturers universally recommend that owners clean the appliance, but no solutions exists that make this process as convenient, safe and effective as Dishwasher Magic®.
